Upon graduation from law school, Rodney was hired by a nationally recognized firm specializing in civil litigation. In 2003, he came back to Orange County and went to work for a local firm, later becoming a partner. While there, his practice included civil, criminal and family law litigation as well as estate planning, probating of wills and small business organization. In 2008, he started his own law practice in Orange. In over 22 years of practicing law, he has stood beside both plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters, represented parties in divorces, custody disputes, criminal cases, probate hearings, drafted Wills, contracts, and has served as ad litem to protect the interest of minors, and adults with disabilities. He has served as a mediator in over 750 cases.
Rodney is admitted to practice law in all Courts of the State of Texas, Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Jefferson County Bar Association (former board member). Certified by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Forum as a mediator. Rodney has been recognized as the Best Lawyer in Orange by the readers of the Orange Leader. He is a supporter of all Orange County Schools, Special Olympics, Special Angels Rodeo, Adaptive Sports for Kids, the local ministerial alliances, and the American Cancer Society to name a few. Rodney is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce His love for the outdoors keeps him committed to supporting organizations such as Ducks Unlimited (DU), the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) and the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Rodney is married to Amy Townsend, (Judice) M.D.. She is a physician in Orange County.
